Hot dip galvanizing vs non hot dip galvanizing: how to choose?
Are you torn between hot-dip galvanizing or ordinary galvanizing when choosing steel? Explain the differences and advantages between the two at once!
hot-dip galvanizing
Super rust proof: Through high-temperature zinc immersion process, a thick layer of zinc protection is formed, with extremely strong corrosion resistance, suitable for outdoor and humid environments.
Long lifespan: It can usually be used for 8-10 years and has low maintenance costs.
Slightly higher price: Due to the complex process and high cost, the long-term cost-effectiveness is significant.

Hot-dip galvanized pipes have a long service life, usually starting to rust after 8-10 years, but the overall service life can reach more than 20 years. If sprayed, the service life can be extended to more than 30 years.
When all of the parts are completed, the process hole is punched, we will put them into the zinc pool for galvanization, the inside and outside of the pipe are all covered with zinc layer, after that, the surface will be polished. Hot-dip galvanizing, higher requirements for material.

ordinary galvanizing
Economically applicable: The surface zinc layer is thin, the cost is low, and it is suitable for short-term use or indoor environments.
Regular maintenance is required: the rust prevention ability is weak, and it is prone to rusting in humid environments.

The raw material of the product in the below picture is cold galvanized pipe (electro-galvanized pipe), and the service life is about 2-3 years.

Conclusion:
Choose hot-dip galvanizing for long-term outdoor use!
Choosing ordinary galvanizing for short-term/indoor needs is more cost-effective!
