‌Temperature management of the electroplating tin process is one of the key factors to ensure good coating and process stability‌. The temperature of the plating solution has a significant impact on the plating speed, the structure and appearance of the coating, and the efficiency of the chemical reaction. Proper temperature control can optimize the electroplating process and improve production efficiency and product quality‌

Temperature range
‌Ordinary stannous sulfate solution‌: Generally operated at room temperature.
‌Bright stannous sulfate solution‌: The operating temperature should be controlled below 25℃. The recommended temperature for the rack plating process is 10~20℃, and the recommended temperature for the roller plating process is 25℃‌

‌Acidic tin plating solution‌: Generally controlled in the range of room temperature to 50℃‌

‌Copper chemical tin plating solution‌: The optimal operating temperature is between 20℃ and 60℃, and it is recommended to operate at room temperature‌

The effect of temperature on electroplating effect‌‌Too low temperature‌: It will cause the ions in the plating solution to move slowly, affecting the ion exchange rate, and may cause airflow stripes or orange peel on the surface of the coating, or even burnt‌
‌Too high temperature‌: It will cause divalent tin to tin tetravalent, resulting in rough coating, ineffective brightener, or even no coating, and accelerate the decomposition of brightener, affecting the uniformity and solderability of the coating‌

Temperature control method‌‌Temperature monitoring‌: Install a temperature sensor to continuously monitor the real-time temperature of the plating bath.
‌Heating equipment‌: Use a heater or heat exchanger to heat the plating solution when the ambient temperature is low.
‌Cooling system‌: In high temperature environment or continuous production process, heat is dissipated through the cooling system.
‌Automatic control‌: The automatic temperature control system is used to accurately control the heating and cooling equipment to maintain a constant temperature‌
